Kia Seltos Maintenance Schedule

2023 Kia Seltos

Whether you recently bought a new Kia Seltos or have been driving an older model for years on your Lexington commutes, it’s imperative you keep on top of the recommended Kia Seltos maintenance schedule. Regular maintenance and inspections can keep your Seltos running on the Shelby roads for years to come, and help catch any issues before you end up needing a tow!

What is the Kia Seltos maintenance schedule? Spitzer Kia Mansfield’s service department is here to help, with guidance on the checks and changes you need to keep your Kia Seltos running.

Routine Maintenance Checks to Do At Home

Not all routine maintenance needs to be a trip to our service center! There are several at-home inspections any Ashland driver can perform to keep an eye on their Kia Seltos model’s road readiness. To keep yourself safe and in the know, once a month you should:

  • Check tire pressure & top-up as needed.
  • Check the tire tread for excessive or uneven wear.
  • Check fluid levels, such as your engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, windshield wiper fluid, etc., and top up as needed.
  • Clean the windshield and check the wipers.

Performing these checks once a month not only helps your tires, fluid levels, and windshield, but they can also help you notice when something isn’t quite right with your Seltos. Does the tire pressure drop quickly? Is your engine oil a different color than last month? All this information can be helpful to know for when you bring your Seltos in for its next service appointment.

What Are The Kia Seltos Service Intervals?

For the more complex tasks on your Kia Seltos, Spitzer Kia Mansfield’s trained technicians can help. Schedule a service appointment for the following Kia Seltos service intervals:

  • Every 7,500 to 10,000 Miles: Thorough multi-point inspection, inspecting engine, drive belts, suspension, fuel lines, engine cooling system, and brakes. Change oil, oil filter, climate control air filter, and perform tire rotation
  • Between 97,500 and 100,000 Miles: Replace spark plugs.
  • At 120,000 Miles: Perform engine coolant flush.

Of course, if something doesn’t seem to be right on your SUV, don’t wait for one of these intervals before coming in! Contact us right away with the issue and our team will be happy to diagnose and repair your Kia Seltos.
